Welcome to the Department of Midwifery

The department of Midwifery of School of Health & Welfare of the TEI of Western Macedonia began operating in October 2009. The Department of Midwifery is based in Ptolemaida and it is located in new facilities. The graduates of the department are fully trained (scientific and technological training) in midwifery, gynecology, neonatology, professional ethics, family planning, reproductive education, research, prevention and health education.

The Department’s mission is to promote the development and transmission of knowledge of the science and technology of Midwifery and the teaching and applied research. Moreover, it aims to fully train students and to provide them with the qualifications needed for their scientific and professional career development.
